The folding buckle is set with four round rubies and a small diamond in platinum. The tip of the ring is set with three additional round rubies. 6 of the 7 rubies are natural rubies and 1 ruby is a synthetic ruby. Synthetic rubies have the same chemistry as natural rubies, but are grown in a lab.
It weighs 7.3 grams. The flexible mesh adjusts from a ring size 3.5 up to a size 9. The width of the band is 8 mm wide and the width of the buckle clasp is 12 mm wide. The approximate total gemstone weight is diamond .04 ct; ruby .48 ct.
Markings: The inside of the clasp has been engraved with the initials "KLL".
Condition: Very good condition, consistent with age. The clasp occasionally needs to be tightened. Just like an actual belt, it is important to select the appropriate hole, which can be a little tricky to line up since they are very tiny little holes.
